Book both houses
Two houses, side by side, for up to 32
Yoward House and Snicklegate stand next door to each other on Colliergate, two halves of the same Grade II* listed building. Book them together and your whole party is under one historic roof line, a few steps from the Shambles, with the space for everyone to come together and for everyone to get away.

Yoward House
The Georgian house of 1748: a grand drawing room under a 24-arm chandelier, a country-house kitchen and six bedrooms with four-poster and half-tester beds.

Made for the biggest occasions
A family wedding weekend, a significant birthday, a reunion or a company retreat. Taking both houses means two kitchens for the cooking, two drawing rooms for the evenings and eleven bedrooms between you. The grandparents can have the quieter rooms and the cousins can have the top floor, and you can all still sit down at the same table.
Each house keeps its own character. Yoward House is the elegant Georgian front of 1748. Snicklegate is the older, candlelit house behind it. Together they tell the whole story of the building. They aren't connected inside. Each has its own front door, and it's a few steps between them, along the front on Colliergate or round the back. [Add which house suits the big dinner.]

Can we book both houses for the same dates?
Yes, as long as both houses are free. The calendar below only shows dates when both are available. Send us your dates and we'll hold both houses together.
Are the two houses connected inside?
No. Each house is self-contained, with its own front door on Colliergate and its own way in at the back. Moving between them takes a few steps, either along the front or round the back, so each group has its own privacy.
How many people can stay?
Up to 18 at Yoward House and up to 14 at Snicklegate, so up to 32 across the two. They suit groups of around 24 or more who want to be together without being on top of each other.
Is there a minimum stay?
[Confirm the minimum stay when booking both houses.]
Can we hold a wedding here?
The houses aren't a licensed wedding venue, so there are no ceremonies or large receptions. They're made for staying together before and after the day. See weddings and celebrations at Yoward House.
How do we pay?
We'll send one quote for both houses with your dates. [Confirm deposit and payment terms for a two-house booking.]
