The Evela Collection
Listed buildings, restored with care and furnished for modern living. The Collection is where history meets a very good night's sleep.
Heritage and restoration
Our most exceptional homes
Restoring a listed building calls for a very different approach from an ordinary renovation. Across the Collection, the aim has been the same: keep the character that makes each building special, and add every comfort guests expect from a luxury stay.
That has meant traditional lime plasterwork and heritage paint finishes, exposed historic timber and brickwork, bespoke joinery and period-style cornicing, alongside new heating, hot water, electrics and connectivity throughout.
The Collection opens with three homes: two neighbouring townhouses on Colliergate in the heart of York, and a Georgian farmhouse on the village green at Askham Richard, six miles from the city.
Yoward House
A Grade II* Georgian townhouse on Colliergate, a few steps from the Shambles, with its own city garden.
A Georgian townhouse, beautifully reimagined in the heart of historic York.
Snicklegate
A newly converted listed house next door to Yoward House, with a bathroom for every bedroom and a private city garden.
A candlelit historic townhouse for groups, steps from the Shambles.
Prospect House
A Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse overlooking the village duck pond, with a twelve-seat dining table and a pizza oven in the garden.
A Georgian farmhouse on the village green, six miles from York.
Two houses, side by side
Yoward House and Snicklegate sit next door to each other on Colliergate. Book them together and they sleep up to 32.
